The Ashton Keynes Village Choir is a friendly mixed choir of over 50 local people. It performs 2 to 3 concerts per year – usually in the village church.

The Choir was founded in 1996 to provide an opportunity for residents of Ashton Keynes to get together on a regular basis to sing and enjoy learning new music. Around 75% of the membership total are residents of Ashton Keynes, in line with the Choir’s constitution, and the remainder come from nearby towns/villages such as Cricklade, Leigh, Minety and Poole Keynes. Membership is currently around 50.

Graham Loveday co-founded Ashton Keynes Village Choir and was its first musical director until 2004. The choir has subsequently been conducted by Peter Hallam, Diana Bickley, Rachel McCorry, Sarah Steele, Heather Milnes, David Dewar, and Holly Burt is the current musical director.

Rehearsals are every Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm - 9.30pm at the AK School Hall during school terms.

New members welcome - especially tenors and basses - no auditions - ability to read music not essential.   Contact secretary Jane Broughton - email ashtonkeyneschoir@gmail.com
