Ashton Keynes Village Website Privacy

Ashton Keynes Village Website (hereinafter referred to as The Village Website) consider data protection with the utmost importance. We do not automatically collect data from anyone accessing our Website (www.ashtonkeynes.org.uk) and our only use of Cookies is a session Cookie for those authorised organisations that have a login to their own section of The Village Website.

It should be noted that the Data Controller cannot guarantee that the browser or social media route taken to get The Village Website (i.e. via Google, Bing, Facebook, etc.) were not using Cookies or other analytics.  If any data is being obtained by these organisations through the route taken to The Village Website, please be assured that we do not get any data from them.

Where an enquiry is made on The Village Website, the person making that enquiry will be asked for explicit consent for their enquiry (which may include personal data) to be passed to the Village organisation for which they are making an enquiry. Once that enquiry is forwarded to the relevant organisation, the detail provided by the enquirer is discarded by The Village Website. Our lawful basis for processing this data is your explicit consent, without which the enquiry is discarded.

Data Protection issues are dealt with by each individual Village organisation; therefore the enquirer is recommended to view the Data Protection Policy or Statement of the organisation for which they are making the enquiry.

Should you wish to receive our Newsletter, you will be asked for explicit consent to allow the data provided (which may include personal data) to be retained for the use of the electronic distribution of the Newsletter. The only information required is a Name and Email address. The name can be anonymised on entry, whereas the email address must to be accurate in order for the requested Newsletter to be received. We accept that with some email addresses there could be sufficient information to identify a natural person. Our lawful basis for retaining and processing this data (for the email distribution) is your explicit consent, without which your request for the Newsletter would be discarded.

The Village Website provides an online option should you wish to be removed from the Newsletter Distribution email list. For amendments to the email address, either contact the Data Controller or erase you existing data and enter new information.

The Village Website maintains no other on-line data other than the Usernames and hashed passwords of those Authorised to login and maintain their own section of the website. As this refers to Village organisations and not individual people (natural persons) we consider that there is no personal data.

We do not share or trade data with anyone and we do not automatically process any data.
