Register Office (Cirencester)
FROM next month people living in Cirencester will be able to register births and deaths at the town library.
The Registration Service moves into Cirencester Library, in The Waterloo, on Monday, October 4, as Gloucestershire County Council attempts to save money on heating and lighting bills.
People can give notice of marriages and civil partnerships at the library but ceremonies will continue at the Old Memorial Hospital, in Sheep Street.
There is a waiting area within the library and a private room for appointments. Customers can book themselves in on a computer on the first floor.
The opening hours for registration are 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
